Bauartprüfung IBC
There are two ways to perform type tests on IBCs.
Contact
- Performing the type test by the manufacturer under supervision of Swiss Safety Center AG. If certain conditions are fulfilled, the tests can be carried out by the manufacturer. Information about this can be obtained from Swiss Safety Center AG.
- Performing type testing at one of Swiss Safety Center AG recognised test centres. All the test samples prescribed in the transport regulations must be provided. If the tests performed are to deviate in procedure from those described in RID/ADR 6.5.4, then this must be agreed in advance by Swiss Safety Center AG. After completing the type test, the applicant receives a test report from the test centre. The successfully completed type test is a prerequisite for the issue of a type approval.
