Summary
eduQua is the only Swiss quality label tailored exclusively to providers of continuing education. It sets and checks minimum criteria for the quality of further education providers. An eduQua-certified continuing education institution is characterised by accredited courses and seminars, high practical relevance of its courses, recognition of titles and qualifications, transparency and binding nature of programme content and concrete proof of quality.
eduQua pursues three overarching goals
- Ensuring and promoting the quality of continuing education programmes on the basis of the criteria defined by eduQua,
- Improving transparency for consumers,
- Creating a basis for official decisions (authorisation, subsidisation, etc.).

What you need to know
The requirements placed on a continuing education institution include the programme, communication with customers, the way in which services are provided, the staff employed (trainers), the learning success, in particular its sustainability, and the way in which quality assurance and development are carried out.
The detailed requirements for an eduQua-certified educational institution can be found in the eduQua handbook.
The homepage of the eduQua office provides detailed information on the label and certification. It also lists all certified institutions.
To date, over 1,000 public and private adult education, continuing vocational education and training institutions in all cantons have opted for eduQua. Although eduQua is a Swiss quality label, it is also used in neighbouring countries.
To prepare for certification and as support for internal audits, we make our checklists available free of charge in the Swiss Safety Center Shop.
