The certification process is practically identical to that of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 etc. and is of course also based on the requirements for quality management system accreditation:

  • Stage 1: Document review, determination of readiness for certification
  • Stage 2: On-site audit (certification)
  • Audit report
  • Certificate with 3-year validity

  • Annual monitoring audits (at least one audit per calendar year)
  • Recertification after three years (a new certificate is issued)

What does a certification cost?

The scope and therefore the costs of certification depend on the size of the organisation, the scope and the complexity. An offer is then drawn up in accordance with the specifications in the IAF MD 5 document. Depending on other influencing factors (e.g. number of locations, shift work), the audit time can be shortened or extended.
